Just because Collier says it doesn't make it true. My experience has been that most people have a shadow side, a dark side, and aren't to be trusted. It's rare that someone hasn't screwed me over. Some people tell me I am cynical, negative, and paranoid. I tell them, no, I am realistic. You've got your pollyanna rose colored glasses on. Thomas Hobbes wrote in his book, Leviathan, "the life of man, solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short." I think Hobbes has got it right and Collier and his ilk are only engaging in wishful thinking.
