Two worlds: Choose
We live in two worlds: the world of reality and the world of the ego. Not everyone realizes that there is a world of reality beyond the one we think is real on the ego plane, but God's love is always there for us which we are told in A Course In Miracles is our natural inheritance. Our challenge is to remove the obstacles and blocks to our awareness of God's presence. Our UU faith involves a strategy to help us remove those blocks when we implement the seven principles.

Very nice. I like the commentary. Good work.
ReplyDeleteOne of the significant theological differences between UU and other "Christian" denominations is the belief not in a punishing God who sends His creations to hell, but a God who loves His creations unconditionally. UUs don't believe that Jesus died on the cross for mankind's sins. Redemption is not necessary for people unconditionally loved already. UUs believe that Jesus death on the cross proves that the spirit is stronger than the body and that rising above bodily execution, Jesus was laughing at the absurdity of a belief otherwise. Jesus was demonstrating that when it comes to God's love, what does death have to do with it?
ReplyDeleteI often sense that there is more going on in the Veil of Tears that we are aware of. I try to tune in beyond the drama as you put it. Thanks.
