Question of the day
Most of us have addictions if by "addictions" we mean compulsive behaviors or compulsive use of substances we use to alter our mood. What, if anything, are you addicted to?

I was addicted to work because I didn't want to face the problems at home. I realize I became a workaholic. Problem with workaholism is that there are so many rewards for this destructive behavior like increased pay, all kinds of "atta boys", admiration of co-workers, and others. I spent all my time and energy at work when I should have spent more time with my family and loved ones.
ReplyDeleteI binge watch TV shows and then get depressed when I've completed the series. It's like I've been living another virtual life. My wife complains of my obsessiveness. I tell her its Netflix or football. What difference does it make what I compulsively watch?
